See how we have helped companies improve their disability inclusion programs

Industry: Technology

A global technology company with no experience in disability inclusion develops a strategy for greater inclusion. Project launches in the global headquarters and is set for expansion beyond the United States.

The Problem

Create a competitive disability inclusion program in a company with limited knowledge of the opportunities and benefits of disability inclusion. The program must align with business objectives and positively impact corporate culture.

Our Solution

We conducted an assessment of the company’s policies, programs and procedures related to diversity and conducted a competitive landscape review to educate the company on disability efforts their key competitors were engaged in. We identified several opportunities to move forward with disability hiring. We then, facilitated a strategic planning session with senior leadership establishing the mission, vision, objectives and goals of the program. We also conducted training for leaders and staff to enable them to consistently roll out the newly established program beyond pilot sites.

The Outcome

A company with no knowledge in disability inclusion has established a program that is set to be competitive not only in the tech space but globally. The program launched within 6 months of the needs assessment and strategy planning session and locations outside the U.S. are currently being chosen for expansion.

Industry: Distribution

Major national retail distribution center expands disability inclusion program from 2 centers to 10 and improves retention by 50%.

The Problem

How to expand from 2 locations to 10 while ensuring consistency in program design and training while scaling across the network.

Our Solution

We developed a customized expansion protocol that included an outline of program design elements, how to establish those elements in each location, developed scorecards for partners, training materials for managers, team leads and staff at large. We provided expert advising services and coaching to each site during implementation.

The Outcome

The disability inclusion program scaled across the network with consistent implementation that focused on expanding the workforce and creating a workplace that had a culture of inclusion. Hiring of people with disabilities increased by 10% in each location with tenure of new hires with disabilities lasting on average 50% longer than those without disabilities.

The Problem
